FS2004, Trinidad International, Piarco..............................TTPP

Description:

This scenery is an all new Piarco from the ground up. The new terminal has been completely redone for a crisper and much better shaded look. The hangar area also includes the BWIA hangars and maintenance facility complete with their offices, machine shop, and storage hangars full of crates containing aircraft parts. The old terminal has also been re-textured and improved upon. The new look of this airport is credited to Stanley Augustus, who sent me numerous photographs of this airport from every angle. This scenery will not work in previous versions of FS.

Installation:

1. Extract the zip into your main FS2004 Addon Scenery folder, or into a temporary folder, and then move it there, which ever method you prefer.

2. Start up FS2004 and when the welcome screen, or initial menu comes on, select settings, then click on Scenery Library, and Add Area. Find the Addon Scenery folder and open it, then find the Trinidad folder and click on it. The name Trinidad should now appear in the title window, then click OK. Then you will see Trinidad at the top of your scenery library list, and click the OK tab at the bottom.

3. That's it! You must first exit FS2004, and when you restart it your scenery will be there. It is not necessary to use the Addon Scenery option to locate this scenery, simply go to the airport in FS.

Notes:

While doing the scenery I have encountered a few areas where there seems to be water on the runway and taxiways, which seems to have been enhanced after I flattened the area in front of the new terminal. Although frame rates were more acceptable in this scenery than my previous Piarco, I have set the static aircraft, and all of the parked cars at very dense, so those with weaker computers could eliminate them by running the scenery density on dense. The crates and machine shop area near the BWIA hangars have been set at a 200 foot visibility, since they have so many texture sides. I did this to keep frame rates as high as possible, especially when landing. Tobago will be my next project, but will only be receiving a few cosmetic changes, and will require the Antilles Group scenery in order to work.

Credits:

Stanley Augustus: For the numerous photos you have sent, along with information about this airport, which made this much more realistic version possible! Thanks Stanley

The Flightgodess: Who originally got me involved with this project in the first place.

Bruce Ellison: For the nice Oxygen Tourches and Engine Hoists in the machine Shop area. You might want to also check out some of his fine Canadian airports with particular attention to detail.

John de Langristin: Who I have not heard from in quite sometime, but who's wonderful textures, and macros (car parks at this airport), are invaluable to a scenery designer.

Christian Friedrich: Also for his photoreal macros, seen here as the turquoise buses. Sorry for changing the color of the busses.

Tom Burnett: For his airport vehicles which a few can be seen here in the hangar area.

Rafael Garcia Sanchez: Author of the Nova program, which I did not use to do this airport except the old terminal, and Jetways, but I have returned to using his great looking very low impact airport vehicles.

Mervyn Gaiff: For the information he sent me in order to lay out the first attempt at this airport, which I have retained and used once again this time.

Finally to all those loyal supporters of this airport. I do not think there is any other airport I have done which has such a loyal fan club behind it. I must say the people of Trinidad truly love their airport, and with very good reason, it is one of the world's unique and beautiful airports!
